IMPORTANT â SCHOOL USE CONTROLS: If a school or school district has entered into a Pilot Program Agreement, Subscription Agreement, or other written agreement with Provider (each, a "School Agreement"), that School Agreement governs the school's and its users' use of the Platform. In the event of any conflict, the School Agreement controls.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and the applicable Privacy Policy / DPA incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.
These Terms are incorporated into and form part of any School Agreement.
The Platform is intended solely for Kâ12 educational use. You may use the Platform only if:
For students under thirteen (13), Provider may rely on School/District authorization only to the extent permitted by COPPA for School-authorized educational use. The applicable School/District is responsible for providing any notices and obtaining any parental consent required of the School/District by applicable law or policy.
Provider does not independently verify parental consent and relies on the applicable School/District's authorization and representations regarding its authority to authorize student use.
Teachers / Staff: Accounts may be created only with School/District authorization.
Students: Students may access the Platform only through School-controlled invitation methods. Students join a School using a class code issued by their teacher; codes are not assigned automatically. Sign-in is available through Google, Apple, or email and password. Where a school uses Google Workspace authentication, access is restricted by default to the School's verified email domains, unless the School requests otherwise.
Users are responsible for safeguarding credentials and all activity under their accounts. Provider may suspend accounts reasonably believed to be compromised.
Provider grants a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Platform solely for authorized educational purposes.

Teachers are responsible for supervising student use, assigning age-appropriate content, and using moderation tools consistent with School/District policies.
Schools/Districts retain sole responsibility for student supervision, discipline, safeguarding, mandatory reporting obligations, and parent communications.
Provider may make available reporting, flagging, or moderation tools to assist Schools and School Districts in supervising user activity. Such tools are provided solely as optional aids and do not create any obligation for Provider to monitor, review, screen, investigate, or remove User Content or to enforce conduct standards.
Provider does not assume any duty of care, supervision, or safeguarding with respect to User Content or user conduct and does not replace or supplement the School or School District's independent responsibilities relating to student supervision, discipline, safeguarding, or mandatory reporting.
Nothing in this Section limits Provider's obligation to make any report required of it under applicable law, or to preserve or disclose material as required by law or lawful process.
The Platform includes class-limited features such as activity feeds and achievements. Visibility is limited to authorized class groups as configured by teachers or administrators. The Platform does not provide direct messaging, comments, or private communication between students.
Provider does not guarantee that these features will be available or uninterrupted. Schools are solely responsible for determining whether and how such features are enabled and for supervising student activity within school-authorized groups.
Teachers may optionally include links to third-party resources. Provider does not control third-party content or data practices and is not responsible for external sites.
All Platform software, design, and trademarks are owned by Provider or its licensors.
